THERE’S MORE TO CHEMISTRY THAN A LAB COAT!

Autumn School Term Tour - 2026

Led by Dr Tom Smith, this workshop introduced Key Stage 2 pupils at St Mary’s RC and Sacred Heart RC Primary Schools to the variety of exciting careers within STEM. With a particular focus on the chemistry of fireworks, spectacular presentations showcased the incredible possibilities a career in science can offer beyond the lab.

Alongside this, Hands-On Science also visited St George’s CoE and Falconbrook Primary Schools, where pupils produced their own chemical reactions and took part in interactive fireworks workshops, creating an unforgettable experience.
